our very (veryvery) nice weekend

weekends are always nice but every once in a while a weekend comes along and you just get into the weekend groove and think THIS, this is what it's all about. this and the hokey pokey.

this weekend we went to our country home aka jeremy's dad's house and soaked up some rays and some nature in equal parts and wow it was pretty delicious. if this weekend was a meal i would say no thank you to dessert cause the main course was so satisfying and the tastes are still lingering on my tongue. jeremy doesn’t like when i eat nature. anyways yeah. i love the country.

whenever you try to take a photo of a cat it looks like this because it predicts when you are going to take a photo of it and moves on purpose to avoid you capturing its picture/soul.

country house slippers. standard issue.

COME ON LEAVES! YOU CAN DO IT! i believe in you.

this was our little rat friend. here he is pictured running away crying after we told him stephanie would never accept him for what he truly is.

beautiful beautiful blah blah blah.

jeremy and his dad making breakfast. the angel gabriel attempting to come in through the window.

here we go on our walk! the start of the walk is always the easiest cause it's downhill. whenever i say 'i could live here forever' in the heart of the woods it isn't cause i like the woods. it's cause i'm too lazy to walk back up.

i always look in this bird house and jeremy always pinches me pretending to be a bird and i always scream and jeremy always laughs and i always punch jeremy in the arm really hard. it's such a heartwarming little tradition.

artifacts!! one of the best things about walking in the woods behind jer's dad's house is all the weird stuff you find. it's like being a weird stuff archaeologist. whenever we see anything we yell 'artifact!' and go over to unearth/investigate it.

your boots and my boots are friends. or not because they're boots.

magical stream. we decided if the world ended we'd come back to the magical stream, build a magical boat and see how far down it we could magically sail.

magical meadow.
jeremy was like 'you only want to lie in this meadow because it's like what they do in twilight'. nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooyeah you're right. but also it was beautiful. and warm. and like nature-y magical-y medicine.

this is a fun game jer's dad invented just for me. you stand really still under the bird feeder and the birds come and eat from your hands. this wasn't working so jeremy and i added the seed on the head component which didn't work either actually but it was an interesting way to keep me still for an extended period of time.

oh glorious days with sun and jeremy and outdoorness! and today is like i stepped into winter and monday and it would sting a bit but steph sent me a potato song to listen to so listen and sing i shall.
