today i went for lunch at the pub around the corner and left my umbrella there so had to go back and pick it up once i was done working and i thought "this is kinda like picking your kid up from daycare".
only instead of a kid i was picking up an umbrella and daycares and pubs have very little in common cause you're supposed to leave your kid at one and you get in trouble if you leave your kid at the other.
also you can't get fish and chips and pints at a daycare. that i know of.
